In today's lecture, Ms Maria briefed us about the final project for Fashion History. We are to search about real-life events from which the designer gets inspiration from it and produces the inspiration through their collection. This project aims to help us feel and understand the designer's perspective when making their collection.

PROJECT 03

Students will be challenged to use the knowledge they learned throughout this module and to propose a design concept inspired by a particular era/year. Through observation, by identifying looks, colors, materials, and silhouettes that brought the idea to forecast the future trend.

PROCESS

After the briefing, I searched a few recent collections that implemented real-life events.

• Angel Chen Fall/Winter 2021

In the end, I chose Angel Chen Fall/Winter 2021. I knew Angel from Next In Fashion on Netflix. She has always shown After reading more about her I can see the compassion and fighting spirit that she puts into making her collection. 

I was also inspired by her because she is so determined to connect her hometown culture with the western. So that there is a bond between both and it is universal for anyone to wear.
