Task 03: Experimentation on Media - Marker Pen

LECTURE [31/05]

In the previous class with Mr JR, he told us to bring in marker pens and search for sportswear fashion editorials [pictures].

ASSIGNMENT 03

The theme is Sports Illustrated. We are to choose any selection of fashion editorials on Pinterest and use the markers to construct our chosen editorial.

PROCESS

I searched for some images with neon or bright colors as the theme was Sportswear. After finding a few images, I went to consult with Mr JR about which image is suitable for my actual piece.

I chose to do this piece as it was simple yet vibrant. I didn't want to do a piece with many patterns or prints so I decided to go with this one. I got Mr JR's acceptance for this piece and I started to do the exercise first.

Before starting on the actual piece, Mr JR drew a fashion model illustration for us to practice the technique using marker pens. We had to outline the model figure with an Artline pen.

After getting feedback from Mr JR, I started plotting the borders 1 inch at the top and sides and 2 inches at the bottom. I traced the A3 image onto the marker paper. I didn't have the time to take a video progress.

DIGITAL SUBMISSION

Mr JR told us to frame our illustration artwork into a black A3 frame for a neater and presentable submission.
